Privacy policy

In short

This is a static website. It sets no cookies, embeds no tracking or analytics, loads nothing from third-party servers - fonts and images are served from its own webspace - and contains no contact form. There is therefore no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Personal data arises in two places: in the technical log files of the server, and if you contact me of your own accord by email or WhatsApp.

Hosting

This website is hosted with the following provider: ALL-INKL.COM - Neue Medien Münnich, Inh. René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany (hereinafter All-Inkl). For details please see All-Inkl's privacy policy: all-inkl.com/datenschutzinformationen.

Use is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. There is a legitimate interest in presenting this website as reliably as possible.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with All-Inkl. It ensures that visitors’ personal data is processed only on instruction and in compliance with the GDPR.

Server log files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, which your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR: the operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of the website. The data is deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short period.

Fonts

This website uses its own typefaces for consistent presentation. They are stored locally on this website’s server and loaded from there. No connection to third-party servers - such as Google Fonts - takes place. Your IP address is not transmitted to any external provider.

Contact by email or phone

If you send me an email or call me, your details including the contact data you provide will be stored in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. In the case of a phone call this covers your number, where it is transmitted, and the content of the conversation, to the extent that I make a note of it. I do not pass this data on without your consent.

Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or to pre-contractual measures. The data remains with me until the purpose for storing it no longer applies - for example once your enquiry has been dealt with. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

One note: data transmission over the internet can have security gaps. Complete protection against access by third parties is not possible with unencrypted email.

Contact via WhatsApp

This website contains a link to WhatsApp. It is a plain link: nothing from WhatsApp or Meta is loaded when you visit this website, no cookies are set and no data flows there.

Only when you click the link does WhatsApp open and you leave this website. From that point on, WhatsApp Ireland Limited processes your data under its own terms, over which I have no influence. Data may also be transferred to third countries. Please refer to WhatsApp’s privacy policy for details.

If you then send me a message, I process the transmitted details - your phone number, your profile name and the content of the message - in order to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where there is a contractual context.

If you would rather not use it, please use the email address above instead. Both routes reach me.

Links to external websites

This site links to external websites, for example to LinkedIn and to websites I built for clients. These links only become active when you click them; no data is transmitted beforehand. The respective provider is responsible for data processing on the linked pages.

CV as a PDF

The CV is served as a PDF file from the same server as this website. Downloading it merely creates an entry in the server log files described above. No sign-in, no data entry and no download tracking takes place.

SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar switching from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser. When encryption is active, the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of processing, and where applicable a right to rectification or erasure of that data.

You have the right to request restriction of processing, and the right to data portability - that is, to receive data processed automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract in a common, machine-readable format.

You can withdraw consent at any time. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation. The relevant legal basis can be found in the sections above.

If you object, your personal data concerned will no longer be processed unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

No direct marketing takes place via this website.

Right to lodge a complaint

In the event of breaches of the GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The competent authority here is:

This right exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Retention period

Unless a more specific retention period is stated above, your personal data remains with me until the purpose for processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw consent, your data will be deleted unless there are other legally permissible grounds for storing it - such as statutory retention periods under tax or commercial law. In the latter case, deletion takes place once those grounds cease to apply.
